The Privacy Council

The premise is simple: Collectively put an end to unwanted junk mail, SPAM and phone calls.

As marketers we wanted to be leading the movement to reduce unwanted emails, phone calls and junk mail. Endlessly broadcasting emails, sending unsolicited junk mail and calling people who do not wish to be contacted is both intrusive and wasteful.

The Privacy Council offers a removal and monitoring service for those who wish to be removed from the major lists, either in an attempt to limit the waste of paper, or to simply clean up our ‘inboxes’.

The Privacy Council is a for-profit organization, wholly-owned by HD Publishing Group. Any contributions made goes towards operations, ongoing research, the overall filtering of global mailing lists and allows citizens to manage their online, print and telephone privacy settings.

We also work together with leading privacy lawyers, educators and marketers to establish guidelines, benchmarks and best-practices for the management of personal privacy online, including marketing to minors.

Discovery Max

Discovery Max: When I had my first child, I spent hours searching for products that would simplify my life as a parent. A baby blanket that really is designed for swaddling, a fashionable diaper carrying case that I could throw in my purse, a pacifier holder that didn’t look like a $.10 piece of plastic. As I discovered these hard to find products, I began building relationships with these businesses in the hopes of someday bringing all of these items together in my own business.
