They Need Help!

A housing slump, tight credit, and a nervous electorate have created a perfect storm for construction businesses. Cart-Away Supply has come to BlogWorld looking for help from the blogging community. It is an experiment in the power of the blog to buck the bad news of the day.

Give some money to Adam so he can feed an orphanage

Filed under: Pay it forward — Jalali March 25, 2008 @ 10:50 am

Here is a great opportunity to help. My friend Adam is going to India next weekend. Along with Eric, Allison and Mike, he’ll be visiting various orphanages, assessing the need and providing for the needs of the poorest of the world’s poor children.

Adam is going to an area of India that gets very little outside support. I know even a few dollars can provide school supplies, months of food or even new clothes.

This group is part of I58 Projects, a 501.3c, that gives directly to those in need. It is a very tight organization with little to no overhead. Primarily, it is a collection of people who like to give back, but do not want to see their donations wasted on overhead.

Over the years, i58 has provided medical care, washing machines, even cows to the poor of India.

I know have some money to bring on next week’s trip, however, because these are my friends and I know the whole operation can make a huge impact to these people, it is a great time to put your donations directly to work.

If you are interested in sending them with a few dollars to help out, you can donate here

In addition, you can email jhartman (at) yovia.com if you would like to pick an entire village or orphanage to provide for.
