Social Media optimization is a process that depends on interactions between people. You must build communities; Build your own niche communities that consist of people who are passionate about what you are passionate about. Find existing communities, penetrate them organically by finding individuals with High Social Networking Potential.

Maintaining and updating your blog is crucial but once you have accomplished nailing down the High Social Networking Potential you need to make sure you respond and or interact with your niche community. It’s social media. You can’t expect to be one sided by constantly pushing out content without ever being actively involved (be social).
